Identify what is inside
Read product information and the care label to identify filling, compartments, inserts, and covers. Weight affects handling and drying; similar fabrics do not mean identical care. If construction is unclear, send support the model name and photos.
Keep covers and inserts separate only when designed to be
Remove a cover or insert only if the label confirms it is removable and explains how. A zip alone does not mean every part is washable. Follow each component’s instructions, protect parts that must stay dry, and never open a sewn seam.
Choose only an approved cleaning method
Surface clean only if permitted, with the specified cleaner and moisture level. Soak or machine wash only if explicitly allowed. Follow the label’s temperature, cycle, and heat instructions; ask support if no suitable method is given.
Dry, reassemble, and store with care
Use the stated drying method. A dry cover does not prove the filling is dry. Reassemble, use, or store the toy only when every cleaned component is fully dry. Support the body when lifting; avoid pulling ears or limbs. Store dry, without pressure on seams or prolonged crushing.
Stop if seams or filling are damaged
If a seam opens, filling escapes, or an insert is damaged, stop use and keep loose material away from children and pets. Contact support; do not continue washing or assume a home repair restores the original construction.
Common questions
Can a weighted plush go in the washing machine?
Only if the care label for that exact toy explicitly allows it. A washable cover does not mean the weighted insert or whole toy is machine washable.
What if the label is missing?
Keep the toy dry and send support its model name and photos. Ask for the correct care instructions before trying a cleaning or drying method.
Not sure which instructions apply?
This is general guidance. Follow your toy’s care label. If unsure, send the model name and photos through our support form.
